Get Ready to Veg Out! (March 3-12)

Winnipeg’s Premiere Vegan Food Festival

Treaty One Territory, Winnipeg, February 14, 2021 – Winnipeg VegFest is hosting Veg Out! (formerly Vegan Week) from March 3-12, 2022. Veg Out! is an exciting event designed to support local restaurants and create a fun and safe food experience for those who wish to enjoy a feast of vegan dishes, support the local restaurant scene, and support a local charity, too!

Once again, the theme is vegan comfort food. Winter is still here, and vegan comfort foods can help everyone stay warm, happy, and cozy. Participating restaurants will feature a new dish created specially for the festival. Voting for the best Veg Out!

From March 3-12, 2022, this year’s participating restaurants include MRFA members:

  • Charisma of India
  • Cocoa Beans
  • Fionn MacCool’s
  • James Avenue Pumphouse
  • Marion Street Eatery
  • One Great City Brewing Company
  • Promenade Café
  • Sushi Cushi

And possibly more to come!

Each restaurant is contributing a participation fee of $150. Veg Out! is designed to promote plant-based cuisine, spread compassion for animals, raise funds for a local animal sanctuary, and support Winnipeg’s incredible restaurant scene.

Winnipeg VegFest was launched in 2016 to serve as a hub for all things vegan in beautiful Manitoba. VegFest hosts a large and lively festival each year, bringing together a rapidly growing community of animal activists, environmentalists, and health enthusiasts. Together, they celebrate a lifestyle of love and compassion for the animals, for the planet, and for our health. Each fall, Winnipeg VegFest features an all-star lineup of speakers, a full day of informative panels, an incredible vendor market, an all-vegan food court, a food contest, fun games, a kids’ zone, yoga, meditation, and so much more! Although the 2020 and 2021 festivals were postponed, VegFest plans to resume the festival in 2022.
