We have been receiving a lot of enquiries about the program lately, ranging in topics. We hope this post helps clarify a number of questions. Please have a read and email us at dineinapply@mrfa.mb.ca if you require further assistance.
At this time, due to a heavy volume of enquiries, we may not be able to respond immediately to your email, and a similar message to this blog post will automatically respond to your email. We will contact you as soon as possible when we are able. Thank you for your patience.


** PLEASE NOTE: due to a heavy volume of applications and document submissions, the following deadlines have been extended:
  • new applications to the program – March 19, 2021 at 5pm
  • document submissions for accepted applicants – April 2, 2021
  • the requested extension of further qualifying months eligible for program relief (beyond November, December, and January) has not been granted by the Province of Manitoba at this time and the program will not be extended unless that changes. 


We are currently prioritizing requests from approved applicants about document submissions and portal navigation and we will endeavor to respond as soon as possible. If you have questions about which documents to submit for your relief calculations, please view the documents section in our FAQ.


If you are enquiring about a rejected application, we will get back to you as soon as we are able. It is likely that you did not meet the criteria of the program, for example and most specifically being that applicants must have relied primarily on dine in prior to the pandemic and closures. Please view our FAQ for more information.


If you are enquiring about the amount of funds deposited for your relief, we will be responding to these enquiries once the program intake for application has closed. Criteria for eligible expenses are outlined in the FAQ, and discrepancies between what you may have assumed your amount to be and our team’s calculation can often be attributed to applicants submitting dates outside of eligibility, taxes and ineligible fees, or other similar circumstances. If, however, you notice major discrepancies and believe there was an error, we are happy to have this brought to our attention for consideration.


All other enquiries will be responded to on a case by case basis as priority dictates. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
